GLORIFYING GOD THROUGH MUSICAL EXCELLENCE

Cello Lessons

Kansas City School of Music is happy to work with cellists of all ages and skill levels. Our cello lessons will provide students with a wide outlook and experience with a diverse repertoire, spanning the rich history of the instrument. Our students don’t just play the cello — they excel at it.

Cello Instructors

Here at Kansas City School of Music, we have a commitment to quality, and this all starts with our instructors. We strive to help our students develop a strong understanding of not only the cello but of music as a whole.

Performance Opportunities

Aside from our individual lessons, we aim to provide our students with as many performance opportunities as possible. Although we strongly recommend that our students get involved in the music world outside of our music school, our ensembles offer a chance for cellists to work with other students and learn from them.

Students who enroll in cello lessons with us will have the opportunity to perform with our string quartet and chamber orchestra.

Facilities

Kansas City School of Music has two locations for your convenience. One is located in Overland Park and the other is located in Lenexa. Each facility is equipped with both private and ensemble studios, soundproof walls, and professional quality acoustic and digital pianos. It’s important to us that we create an environment that allows everyone to learn and grow, so please let us know if you need any accommodations or have any other requests.

Parental Involvement

Parental involvement is key to the musical development of young students. As such, we require parents to sit in on our cello lessons if the student is in preschool or elementary school. If they’re older, there are still a number of ways you can get involved in their music education, so let us know if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Our highest priority at Kansas City School of Music is to provide each cello student with a well-rounded understanding of their instrument, regardless of their age or skill level. Our faculty was not only selected based on their experience in music performance and education but their experience working with students of all backgrounds and skill levels.

If you have any questions for us, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you would like to contact a specific instructor, you can do so through the links below.

Master Teachers

Our master violin teachers will custom design a lesson plan based on each student’s needs. They will adjust lessons according to their strengths and weaknesses and work with them on every aspect of playing the violin to develop a strong understanding of the instrument, along with a deeper understanding of music.

Performance Opportunities

Performances are a great opportunity for students to test everything they’ve learned in lessons. At Kansas City School of Music, we have ample opportunities for violin students to perform on their instrument and we highly encourage them to get involved in music groups outside of our music school. For string instruments, we offer string quartets and chamber orchestras.

High-Quality Facilities

Working with a passionate and committed violin instructor is not the only benefit of joining Kansas City School of Music. We have two locations, both of which are equipped with the most state-of-the-art technology and amenities allowing you to concentrate on what matters — learning your favorite instrument. Parental Involvement

We offer violin lessons for people of all ages. However, if you are enrolling your son or daughter in one of our music programs, we allow and encourage parental involvement. If they are in preschool or elementary school, we require parents to sit in on lessons in order to make them more productive due to how crucial this stage of musicianship is for your child. Be sure to speak with us about how you can get involved in your child’s music education.
